English Rural was pleased to launch its 2018 Annual Report at the AGM event on 25th September 2018. The event hosted in Ashford, Kent was an opportunity for partners to learn more about our work over the past year as well as future plans. Guests were also able to hear Chris Crowcher from the Plunkett Foundation talk about community business and how this links with affordable rural homes.
The 2018 Value for Money Statement was also approved by the Board. This statement details English Rural’s approach to achieving value and also how some of our key areas of performance compare the wider sector metrics.
Commenting on the event, Adrian Maunders, Chief Executive said:-
‘Our AGM is always an exciting event for the organisation as it offers an opportunity to publicly speak about our achievements to an audience of close supporters. We were particularly pleased to be in Ashford, Kent this year as this is a local authority area has led the way in delivering affordable rural homes, in partnership with English Rural.’
