We are pleased to announce that we have retained our G1/V1 status following a recent IDA assessment undertaken by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH).
The RSH undertook an In-Depth Assessment (IDA) of English Rural during 2022. The IDA process is a key regulatory tool for the RSH which takes place every few years. The routine assessment concluded with the Regulator confirming that English Rural had retained the highest possible grading of V1 (Viability) and G1 (Governance).
G1 is the highest rating a housing provider can achieve, showing that we meet the RSH’s governance requirements.
V1 is the highest rating for financial viability, indicating that we meet the RSH’s viability requirements and have the financial capacity to deal with a wide range of adverse scenarios.
Commenting on the Regulator’s assessment and findings, English Rural Chair, Pam Reynolds, said:
“I’m both proud and pleased to receive the excellent news that we’ve retained the top grading of V1/G1 from the Regulator of Social Housing. This can only be achieved through a collaborative effort from the Board, senior management, and wider staff working together as one team. We are grateful for the continued confidence of the Regulator and sound guidance made available by them that supports our work. My heartfelt thanks go out to an amazing team at English Rural.”
