As in many other sectors, the burden of regulation in housing is increasing and the Management Committee of TCCHS have agreed to partner with English Rural Housing Association. This arrangement is designed to secure extra service support for TCCHS, its staff and residents. In readiness for the partnership, English Rural had already been working closely with TCCHS throughout 2020 to build and strenghthen the relationship and familiarise itself with how TCCHS operates. English Rural were selected based on their experience of managing affordable rural homes.

English Rural and TCCHS have a shared purpose of delivering quality homes and services in rural communities. As a larger, but like-minded, rural housing association, English Rural will be working to enhance the quality and level of service that TCCHS provides to its residents.

Commenting on the partnership, English Rural’s Chief Executive, Martin Collett said:

Martin Collett“English Rural are delighted to enter into a formal service partnership with TCCHS. This new arrangement will enable us to work even more closely with them and apply our resources towards our shared purpose of servicing and managing affordable rural homes. We are very much looking forward to working with TCCHS residents, ensuring they have better access to skills and to further develop the services offered.

“English Rural’s own business strategy is to work with smaller specialist rural housing associations to make sure that they are secure, well-run and able to deliver on a shared purpose. The need for affordable rural homes is greater than ever and maximising investment in new homes through mutually beneficial collaboration and partnerships is an important part of the solution.”

The new arrangement improves overall performance and secures better value for money for both organisations. The relationship will capitalise on the excellent local TCCHS brand whilst increasing access to the expertise of English Rural’s staff team. This will ensure TCCHS residents receive an exemplary housing management and repairs service.
