Subject to agreement from respective Boards, The Lodge Cooperative Housing Association looks set to become part of English Rural via a transfer of engagements. The Lodge consists of eight homes built in and around a converted rectory in Chew Stoke, Somerset; a village where English Rural already owns a further eight properties. The transfer will establish a secure long-term future for The Lodge and unlock substantial investment which is being made available by the HCA and B&NES to upgrade and improve the existing homes. English Rural’s Board are being asked to consider the proposal on 8th February 2017, following a substantial due-diligence process.
