We are pleased to share our 2024/25 Annual Report, which reflects a year of progress, resilience, and investment in the future of rural communities.
Despite ongoing economic challenges, English Rural delivered 31 new affordable rural homes, with a further 64 under construction, strengthening our commitment to meeting local housing needs. Alongside this, we invested significantly in existing homes, supported by a £1.3 million Warm Homes Fund grant, enabling a major programme of energy efficiency upgrades.
Residents continued to shape our work. The full implementation of our Resident Engagement Strategy ensured their voices influenced key improvements, from repairs and grounds maintenance to governance, with residents now directly represented on our Board.
Our advocacy role also grew stronger, with English Rural raising the profile of rural housing needs in Parliament and through national partnerships, while our new five-year Business Strategy set a clear course for sustainable growth and lasting community impact.
Financially, we maintained strong stewardship, safeguarding our resilience while investing in homes, services, and people. Staff satisfaction remained high, with 96% of colleagues recommending English Rural as a great place to work, reflecting our commitment to investing in and supporting our talented team.
