We are pleased to share our Annual Report for 2025/26, which highlights a year of steady delivery, strong partnerships and continued investment in rural communities across England. Throughout the year, we remained focused on what matters most: providing high-quality affordable homes, listening to residents, and championing the needs of rural communities at a national level.
This was a year in which we continued to strengthen the foundations for the future. We welcomed resident representation onto our Board, refreshed key strategies covering communications, sustainability and value for money, invested in our people, and continued modernising the way we work through technology and responsible innovation. We also maintained a strong development programme, progressed important environmental improvements through our Warm Homes Project, and reinforced our position as a leading voice for affordable rural housing.
Good governance, sound finances and long-term sustainability remained central to our approach. During the year, English Rural began its latest regulatory inspection, with the outcome published after year-end confirming G1 governance, an upgraded V1 viability rating and a C2 consumer grading. Together, these achievements reflect the commitment of our residents, staff, Board Members, partners and stakeholders, who continue to help us build thriving rural communities.
