Celebrating Gloucestershire’s Green Champions: CPRE Awards Honour Seven Outstanding Projects

Seven inspiring projects from across Gloucestershire, including English Rural’s very own scheme in Avening, have been recognised at the 2025 CPRE Gloucestershire Annual Awards, celebrating exceptional contributions to the county’s countryside, environment, and communities.

The ceremony took place at The Gillyflower, Elmore Court, on Monday 20th October, bringing together local organisations, volunteers, and community leaders. The event was generously sponsored by Loxley Solicitors, whose continued support enables the recognition of excellence in sustainable and community-led initiatives.

This year’s awards held particular meaning as CPRE Gloucestershire paid tribute to Vice Chair and Awards Lead, Richard Lloyd MBE, whose tireless commitment to protecting the county’s countryside has left a lasting legacy.
