Grounds Maintenance

Keeping Your Community Green and Tidy

Welcome to our Grounds Maintenance Information Page. Here you’ll find details about how we care for the outdoor spaces in your community.

What We Do

Our team provides a comprehensive grounds maintenance service to keep shared areas safe, attractive, and enjoyable. This includes:

  • Grass Cutting – Regular mowing of lawns and grassed areas
  • Shrub & Flower Bed Care – Pruning, tidying, and removing weeds
  • Hedge Trimming – Twice a year (outside bird nesting season)
  • Weed Control – Paths, roads, and hard surfaces kept clear
  • Tree Checks – Annual inspections and safety checks
  • Leaf Clearance – Especially in autumn
  • Wildflower Areas – Managed to encourage natural growth
  • Litter Picking – Keeping communal spaces clean

How Often We Visit

  • Grass areas: Every 2 weeks from April to October, plus two winter visits
  • All sites: Every 2 months for general checks and maintenance
  • Trees: Checked every visit; visual inspection report annually

Some of our schemes operate under an ad-hoc grounds maintenance arrangement. This means the grounds will receive two scheduled visits each year:

➡️ one in January/February for a winter tidy-up, and
➡️ another in August for a late summer tidy

During these visits, our contractors will complete any work required in line with the agreed contract specification, ensuring the outdoor areas remain safe and well-maintained.

Wildlife-Friendly Approach

We avoid hedge cutting during bird nesting season (March–July) to protect wildlife.

Safety First

Our contractors use safe practices when applying treatments like weed control. All work follows Health & Safety regulations.
